Dr. Karen Purvis pioneered the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®). TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.
KBF is very proud that two of the six TBRI® Certified Filipino Practitioners in the Philippines are our very own.
Last June 23, 2022, Ms. Glady JQ Bunao, Executive Director, and Danilo A. Macalagay Jr., Social Work Supervisor completed the training to become practitioners.
This was only possible with the support and scholarship grants from Holt International and Show Hope.
Both of them will utilize this newly acquired intervention and skills to further improve the services of KBF to the Filipino children and their families.
