A cheerful elderly man stood in front of his little stall along a narrow street in Barangay ESCOPA, a heavily populated community in Quezon City. Mang Lando has been selling all kinds of merchandise since he was 17 years old. The assortment of toys, games & activities filled up every inch of his little space.
Mang Lando was not just a store keeper, in his younger days, his talents & creativity landed him different types of jobs like designing backdrops for school plays, stage designs for school events and decorating homes for Christmas.
When the time came that he needed to bridge a working capital gap, he was able to avail of the Capital Assistance fund of Kaisahang Buhay Foundation, Inc. (KBF). The program aims to improve the quality of life of the disadvantaged families and communities.
